Shibuya/Stores
Shibuya 109
Shibuya 109 is the most popular clothing/accessory store in Tokyo (for teenagers to early 20's).
It has a total of 8 floors all filled with clothes, shoes, bags, accessories and other miscellaneous items that girls love.
109 is usually filled with hundreds of teenage girls; making it extremely hard to get around. If you're a first-timer at the store, you can easily get lost in the crowd and exhaust yourself before you even have a chance to look at most of the stores. Which is why it is crucial to know which stores sell what kind of clothes, so you don't take an hour on each floor just getting around.

Tips: If you're not a crowd type of a person, try visiting the store really early in the morning (7pm~9pm) on a weekday. During the weekends, it is at least twice as crowded as weekdays since most of the shoppers are high-schoolers. If you don't have the opportunity to visit the store during that time, make sure to go with as little possessions as possible. Not only is the place VERY crowded, it is also very small. The hallways between shops are hardly wide enough for 3 people to walk side by side (and remember there are people walking in all directions) so a suitcase would definitely be in the way.

Don Quijote
Don Quijote is one of the most beloved "general-store" in Japan. It basically sells everything from clothes to daily life-goods such as shampoos to furniture and even washing machines. It is located in almost every big city in Japan, however the store is pretty small. The one in Shibuya has 4 floors, but each floor is very tight and the halls between the merchandise are extremely narrow. However all the goods sold here are high quality (for its surprisingly low-cost). I especially love the "party goods" sold in this store. There are cocktail-maker machines, cool balloons, voice-changing gasses, disguising glasses and masks and other miscellaneous goods to make your party interesting! |
Tip: It is crowded at all hours of the day but around 6pm on a weekend is when it's the MOST crowded so I recommend you to avoid those hours. Around 10:00~14:00 on a weekday would be the most uncrowded hours.

Disney StoreThis place only sells official Disney products. It is filled with cute character goods from Disney, and this is one of the very few Disney shops in Tokyo.
The good thing about this store is that you feel like you're in Disney Land, they sell basically the same stuff they sell in Disney Land, so it's a great place to buy gifts for your friends. If you're a disney fan, I definitely recommend this store. Even if you're not, you should still definitely visit because the stuff they sell here are just too adorable!♡ Address: 20-15, Udagawacho, Shibuya Tokyo |
